Mental illness or disorders are medical conditions that disturb or unsettle a person’s thinking, sensitivity, attitude, ability to communicate to others and daily functioning. Just as diabetes is a disorder of the pancreas, mental illnesses are remedial conditions that often result in a declining capacity for handling and surviving with the normal demands of life.

The good news about mental illnesses is that recovery is possible but it is very time consuming and we cannot come to know the exact results as it may recur back due to any hectic or panic circumstances/ situations or conditions.
Mental illnesses can affect persons of any age, race, religion, or income and culture. Mental illnesses are not the result of personal weakness, lack of character or poor upbringing. Mental illnesses are curable. Most people analysed with a serious mental illness can experience relief from their symptoms by actively joining in a specific or distinct treatment plan.

In addition to medication treatment, psycho social treatment such as intellectual behavioural therapy, social/ interactive therapy, noble support groups and other community services can also be modules of a treatment plan and that assist with recovery. The readiness of conveyance, diet, exercise, sleep, friends and significant paid or helper activities also contribute to overall health and wellness, including mental illness treatment.
