It has emerged as a potential protector against any allergies and it also enhanced insensitivity and caused the patients to undergo surgeries to be calm and awake during their surgery, but it won’t feel like to be painful to them as they will be lying in a very relaxed and comfortable state without any pain feelings of the surgery. In a report in 1952 by Delay et al., it has been mentioned that the medication of Chlorpromazine reduced the hallucinations and also stopped the unheard voices to eight psychotically disturbed patients. This antipsychotic drug has shown a very rapid and consistent change within a very few days, as the neurotransmitter targeted with this drug was efficiently affected in a positive manner.
If any of the Antipsychotic has positive effect on any mentally sick patient, then it’s also accompanied with its side effects which may affect the person in a major or minor way. Like for this drug, the side effects included are, considered patient may become too much of anxious in any unrelated issues, there may be unrequired dizziness or drowsiness, suffer with insomnia, there may be swelling or discharge from the breasts, changes in the menstrual periods, weight gain, dry mouth, vision may be blurred, stuffy nose most of the time, constipation, impotence or trouble having sex or orgasm.
